About Us

Our delicious milk free, egg free, nut free, gluten free and wheat free hand made Belgian chocolate business has been set up by mother and daughter – Sue and Nikki.

Both of Nikki’s sons (Reuben and Reilly) were diagnosed with multiple food allergies from an early age,  and one of the issues faced was trying to find not only affordable, but tasty chocolates which both boys could safely eat and enjoy.

Sue moved to the Highlands of Scotland with husband Martin in January 2014 with Nikki and family following in June 2014. Within a few months of living in the Highlands we soon realised there was very limited choice of allergy free products available both in the local shops and on the internet. Our aim has been to produce tantalising tasty treats that appeal to all that wont break the bank! As we all know, we want what others have, it’s human nature, but that doesn’t mean we can.

We are self taught – however we strive to be the best we can be. We believe in excellent customer service and always encourage feedback for all our products. A lot of love and care is given to each and every product making sure standards are always high.

Our Belcolade chocolate contains a minimum of 55% cocoa content and is suitable for all allergies listed as well as being suitable for vegetarians and can be enjoyed by everyone even if you do not have a special dietary requirement.

Well as you can see I am a busy mum, with two beautiful boys who both suffer with multiple food allergies. I am 32 years old, living with husband Daniel and sons in the highlands of Scotland. I have always been into jobs with active roles from aerobics instructor to being a police officer. With both my boys requiring a little extra love and care I wanted a job where I could spend a little more time with them. I love seeing my boy’s faces light up when they can enjoy our chocolates with none of the nasties!

I have always worked within the customer service industry so am very conscious of the level of care given. I have always longed for my own business especially within the industry of sweets and chocolates. After finding out both my grandsons had multiple food allergies and I myself intolerant to wheat and dairy I felt this was a great business opportunity. It all started when my husband made Nikki’s wedding favours, after all the positive comments we decided to take the leap of faith. I have even managed to rope my husband Martin in to help with all the busy fairs and markets!

I work seasonally for Scottish Canals as a lock keeper. I spend all my spare time as a minion to Sue and Nikki creating the chocolates and attending most of the markets and fairs, which I truly love as I get an opportunity to meet some fantastic people.
